Mexico Creeking ClinicsTrip Report - December 2007

In December of 2007, we branched out our creeking clinics to include 2 week-long classes on the warm rivers and waterfalls of San Luis Potosi state in Mexico. Forming a partnership with the brand new Huasteca Secreta resorts, we headed south of the border for a couple of weeks of boofing, waterfalling, eating and sight-seeing.

Unfortunately, on our second clinic my trusty Nikon which has been off countless waterfalls and through an unbelievable number of river gorges in the back of my boat finally really began to be unworkable due to age and usage. I apologize to the group for how many pictures I missed, and appreciate a lot of them chipping in and allowing us to use their shots for these updates.

One of the only Ojo Frio shots of mine that came out - Dooley on the biggest drop.

Of course when you arrive at the takeout on a Huasteca Secreta paddling trip, you will find someone there to help you out of your boat, with food waiting and the bar always open.

When refueling at the takeout with seviche and rum&coke,
we recommend despues-del-rio casual dress:
maybe some dry pants, but keep the river shoes and capilene.
