California Trip Report '07

Summer '07 is game-time for researching the River Gypsies' Guide - our first stop is California to check out some Sierra classics. Here's the report:

Saturday found us back on the Kaweah and hooked up with locals Sage (who we met that first night) and Amakiah (spelling probably butchered - sorry) for a Hospital Rock run. This classic section of the Kaweah gave us the first fix of California creeking that we had been waiting for! It felt really good to be back in our creek boats after weeks of not paddling and getting back into the groove of running some drops. Sage is the consummate Hospital Rock local and showed us the good lines.

This gorge was one of the cooler spots on the run.

This guy was quite large.

A super clean 10 footer.

I decided to give the big one a go - here's "Zero to Sixty."
