OR show, and Telepath at Red Rocks!
Before leaving BC, it was necessary to make things right with the river gods. While some areas sport the noble tradition of drinking a bootie beer, we have formed our own BC tradition of drinking the pink thing. Pink things are nasty pink sugary ciders common in BC. The BC Growers Pink Grapefruit is especially revolting, and is much harder to finish off from the bottle than a tasty beverage is from even the nastiest bootie. One apiece on this trip:
As we made our final run for home, we stopped off briefly to see a few friends and maybe figure out some business stuff at the Outdoor Retailer show. We caught the last 3 hours of the show, and had a great time seeing folks as well as working out a couple of business things we hoped to take care of.
We motored from there to Colorado to catch one of our favorite bands - Telepath - kicking off STS9's Day out of Time Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Our housemate Curt is their bass player, and it was pretty cool to see Brushy Mountain represent on the main stage at Red Rocks! They played an incredible set! Check them out online and/or live - you'll be hearing a lot more from this band in the future...and congrats to Curt on playing one of the world's greatest venues.
That's it for now! More to follow this year from Gauley Season, our Mexico Trips, and the RiverGypsies' first trip to Chile!
